We host workshops and write articles about basic principles of nutrition. This includes information about food groups, natural and processed foods, nutritional supplements, monitoring nutritional intake, and the role of nutrition in short- and long-term health. This includes the role of nutrition in individual health as well as larger social trends.

Nutrition and environmental sustainability

We host workshops and write articles about the intersection between nutrition and environmental sustainability, noting the synergies but also the divergences between individual nutritional health and long-term agricultural viability. This includes pros and cons of plant- versus animal-based diets, the benefits and challenges of industrial agriculture, and organizing individual diets for environmental viability over the next half century.

Nutrition and health policy and planning

We support government legislators and executives in crafting new policies and regulations related to nutrition and healthy, analyzing policy proposals, and evaluating the efficacy of policy reforms. This includes policies related to food quality standards, labeling, and use of fertilizers, pesticides, and food preservatives. We also support governments in long-term strategic planning, annual planning and budgeting, and program implementation schedules

Nutrition education

We support government ministries and private school operators in the development of nutrition education programs for pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools, as well as adult education. These can be stand-alone programs or incorporated into science, history, social science, or life skills courses. They can also include school-based farming and cooking activities in addition to classroom-based curricula.

Food preparation and handling safety

We support governments and regulators in the development of food preparation and handling standards, curricula, and training programs, individual licensing, and monitoring for commercial food preparation and sales in restaurants and other facilities. We also conduct training programs and administer examinations for food preparation managers and handlers.

We support governments and regulators in the development of food labeling standards, guidelines, and templates. We also advise on the creation of food-analysis services as prerequisites for some food labeling requirements.
